A Travel Planner will contain permanent information that should be taken with you on each trip. It will also help you get ready for a current trip. Everything is kept in one place – a three ring notebook. No hunting through stacks of papers for the hotel reservation, airline tickets, lists of clothes and other items to pack, etc.
As soon as you know you are going on a trip you can grab your Travel Planner and begin writing your preparation lists. It will save you time and frustration in the long run.
Here are the things you will need to set up your planner.
1. One inch 3-ring notebook.
2. Notebook paper for writing out current lists.
3. One or two 3-ring binder pockets to hold loose papers.
4. Several clear sheet protectors.
Here is a list of information you want to keep permanently in this planner. This information will go with you on every trip. Put it in the sheet protectors.
1. Write out a list of contact numbers for all the doctors/dentists each family member uses. If you have business cards from each doctor you can make a copy of them instead. You can copy 8 cards per page. If any health issues come up on your trip it will be easy to contact your own doctor if you need to. Read more...

Airports, train and bus stations, and any other place where travelers congregate in close quarters are where pickpockets love to operate. There are many dos and don’ts to avoid becoming a victim when you travel on vacation, most of which are common sense. Here are some of them.
Do not wear expensive jewelry, even expensive looking costume jewelry or an expensive looking watch as that is just an invitation to be robbed.
Wear a money belt under you shirt or blouse to help foil pickpockets or muggers. It is a good idea to put your things in a Ziploc bag and then put the bag in your money belt. The reason for this is that the money belt and the items in it will get soaked from your perspiration, especially in hot climates, and this will keep them dry. Do not open up your money belt in public to take out cash, travelers checks, or credit cards.
Before you leave on vacation, it might be worth it to sew a few pockets on the inside of your slacks, skirts, or underclothing where you can carry some spare cash when you are out and about for the day. If you are carrying cash, travelers checks, or credit cards on your person, you should divide them up and put them in different pockets. That way if a pickpocket is successful, he or she won’t get everything. It also makes sense to use a safety pin to make each pocket opening smaller so that a pickpocket will have difficulty pulling anything out of your pockets without you being aware of it. Read more...

If you would like to know what travel accessories are available to make your trip easier, more comfortable, and safer, here are some great products. These items should be available at most luggage and travel accessories stores.
What are compression bags and can they save a lot of space in your travel luggage?
If you use space saving clear plastic compression bags when packing your clothes, you can save up to a whopping 80% more space in your luggage. They can be used over and over again for many years of very easy packing.
What is a non-slip security wallet and how does it work?
One accessory you should consider buying is the non-slip security travel wallet. It is about the same size as a regular wallet but it has non-slip rubber on one side which will rub against and catch on the inside of your pocket if it accidentally slips out of your pocket, or if someone tries to pick your pocket. Always put your wallet in your front pocket. Under no circumstances should you ever carry your wallet in your back pocket. Professional thieves the world over call it “the sucker pocket”.
Here’s a great trick! You can convert your wallet into a non-slip wallet by putting a couple of wide rubber bands around it. Another solution that will help with the pickpocket problem is a chain-equipped security travel wallet which can be attached to your belt. Read more...

If you’re thinking about adding promotional products to your marketing campaign, look no further than promo travel mugs. They are inexpensive; they are big enough to attract attention, yet small enough to be easily stored. And they will never be stored away in someone’s junk drawer!
In order to truly promote your business and get the best for your advertising dollar, you need to ensure that your branded items are used and seen by a large portion of the general “buying” public. You can do this by giving out promo travel mugs. The following are 5 reasons why mugs are a great way to get your logo in people’s homes and out in public.
1. Size Matters – At least it does when the topic is promotional items. Smaller promotional items such as pens and key chains, while popular and effective, do not carry as much visual weight as larger items. They can only be seen and appreciated when they are in use. When these items are not being used, they are not being seen. Mugs, on the other hand, can be seen from across a room. And travel mugs…Well, they travel.
2. Be Seen – Another great thing about promo travel mugs is that they cannot be carried around stuffed in other things such as bags and purses. They are carried in the hand. They are set on counters and desktops eye level so that your logo comes face to face with potential future customers. It just doesn’t get any more visual than that. Read more...
